Application Process

We are happy you have chosen Jefferson State! Follow the steps below to guide you through the application process.

1. Read the Admissions Application Instructions.

2. Fill out the Online Application.

• Follow the instructions to create a Login ID and PIN.
• Choose the appropriate Application Type from the drop down box and select Continue.
• Choose the Admission Term, type your name using the correct upper and lower case format and select Fill Out Application.

3. Submit the signature page to Enrollment Services. The signature page can be printed upon completion of the online application. It can be mailed, hand delivered or faxed to Enrollment Services at (205) 856-6070.

4. Submit the required photo identification. Students must provide one Primary Form of identification or two Secondary Forms of identification, one of which must be a photo identification card. Documentation must be submitted in person to Enrollment Services or a notarized copy may be mailed to Enrollment Services.

Primary Forms of Identification

Unexpired Alabama driver’s license or instruction permit
Unexpired Alabama identification card
Unexpired U.S. passport
Unexpired U.S. permanent resident card
Unexpired driver’s license or instruction permit from another state that verifies lawful presence, dated 2000 and beyond
Resident Alien Card, pre-1997
U.S. Resident Alien Registration Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978
BIA or tribal identification card with photo

U.S. Certificate of Naturalization

5. Males between 18-26 must submit verification of Selective Service Registration. Go to sss.gov to print selective service verification number. It can be mailed, hand delivered, or faxed to Enrollment Services at (205) 856-6070.

Your application will be processed more quickly if you use the Online Application, but you are also welcome to print, fill out and submit a Hard Copy Application.
