Refunds are based on the first official day for the term and are not based on the first class day for individual courses.
Refund for Partial Withdrawal
During schedule adjustment when dropping and adding of individual courses are allowed, students may drop a course and receive a full refund for that course and its related fees only. There will be no refund to a student who partially withdraws after schedule adjustment has ended.
After the Schedule Adjustment Period Ends
Students may receive a prorated refund only if they COMPLETELY withdraw from ALL classes in which they are enrolled.
Students completely withdrawing from the College must submit a Complete Withdrawal form, which is available at www.jeffersonstate.edu/forms. For any questions you may call the cashier’s office at (205) 856-7779.
Administrative Fee
An administrative fee not to exceed 5% shall be accessed for complete withdrawal.
Note: Tuition and Fees are subject to change by the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Community College System.
Spring 2024
The prorated refund will not apply to Pioneer Pack fee. The final Pioneer Pack opt-out date for Spring will be January 18, 2024.
Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Regular Spring Term:
- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 7, 2024
- 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 14, 2024
- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 21, 2024
- 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 28, 2024
- Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Regular Spring Term with a prorated refund – January 28, 2024
Schedule Adjustment for Regular Spring Term Ends January 12, 2024.
Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Spring Five-Week Session I:
- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 7, 2024
- 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 10, 2024
- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 13, 2024
- 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 16, 2024
- Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Spring Five-Week Session I with a prorated refund – January 16, 2024
Schedule Adjustment for Spring Five-Week Session I Ends January 9, 2024.
Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Spring Eight-Week Session I:
- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 7, 2024
- 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 11, 2024
- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 15, 2024
- 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before January 19, 2024
- Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Spring Eight-Week Session I with a prorated refund – January 19, 2024
Schedule Adjustment for Spring Eight-Week Session I Ends January 9, 2024.
Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Spring Five-Week Session II:
- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before February 13, 2024
- 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before February 16, 2024
- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before February 19, 2024
- 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before February 22, 2024
- Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Spring Five-Week Session II with a prorated refund – February 22, 2024

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Spring Eight-Week Session II:
- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before March 5, 2024
- 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before March 9, 2024
- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before March 13, 2024
- 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before March 17, 2024
- Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Spring Eight-Week Session II with a prorated refund – March 17, 2024

- 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before March 31, 2024

- 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before April 6, 2024
