Job Functions:
1.
Responsible for general division administration.
2.
Provides leadership in academic planning, program development and
implementation, and program review within the division.
3.
Directly supervises and evaluates faculty and/or department chairs
within the department.
4.
Works with department chairs and other administrators to coordinate
appropriate distance education and dual enrollment course
offerings.
5.
Works with department chairs to reviews and approve credentials of
part-time faculty teaching distance education and/or dual
enrollment courses.
6.
Oversees the Internet course development process and recommends courses
to the Dean of Instruction for development.
7.
Reviews and recommends changes in Catalog content related to the
division.
8.
Acts as on site reference point to respond to student and faculty
problems or appeals from students.
9.
Makes recommendations to the Dean of Instruction regarding continuing
service status of non-tenured faculty within the department.
10.
Institutional responsibilities that contribute to the fulfillment of
the college’s mission.
11.
Class and/or laboratory preparation and instruction.
12.
Compliance with institutional policies and procedures and fulfillment
of the terms of employment.
