
International Students
F-1 Visa Holders
Jefferson State Community College defines International Students as
“non-immigrants who are pursuing a full course of study to achieve a
specific educational program”.
An
international student holds a Form I-20, issued by the Department of
Homeland Security. F-1 visa holders are not eligible for in-state
tuition.
F-1 Visa holders cannot apply for admission on the web.
Other Visas or Statuses
Students that are Permanent Residents or maintain a different visa or
status in the U.S. may apply to Jefferson State Community College by
submitting a written application. Students cannot apply for admission
on the web.
Students will need to submit proof of their immigration status and
submit proof of residency if he/she is a resident of the state of
Alabama.
Students who have attended high school and/or college outside the U.S.
must submit an evaluation of their credentials from Educational
Credential Evaluators (ECE).
