The Jefferson State Speech Team competed with 11 other colleges and universities at the Jacksonville Star Speech Tournament at Florida State College on November 18-19.
Together the team earned fourth place in Team Sweepstakes. Dallas Nolen won first place in both Prose interpretation and Dramatic interpretation, and Christian Holt took home third place in Duo Interpretation as well as Top Novice in that category.
Christian Holt also won Top Novice in Informative Speaking. Shay Quraishi won 2nd place in Informative Speaking while Avery Pickens took home 6th place in the same category.
