Workshops

Workshops are free and help you get ready to begin classes at Jefferson State in January, 2001 are scheduled this fall.  During the workshops you will

• get help filling out your application for admission and selecting courses from the class schedule.

• learn how to apply for financial aid.

• brush up on study skills.

•  be able to ask questions and get on-the-spot answers.

Choose one of the following workshops which fits your schedule:

            Jefferson Campus – November 28 (9:00 a.m.–noon)

                                                November 29 (6:00-9:00 p.m.)

            Shelby-Hoover Campus –   December 5 (6:00-9:00 p.m.)

                                                December 6 (9:00 a.m.–noon)

You can be ready to attend Jefferson State next semester.

A SERIES OF SEMINARS to help adults learn about “new options” is planned for spring.  You will learn about “new options’ through educational and career exploration and personal development activities.  We will cover many topics, including:

•  beginning college after being out of school a long time

•  taking some classes to help you get ready to re-enter the working world

•  getting a college degree to help you get a better job

You will be encouraged to take charge of your life by identifying personal goals and developing action plans!  You will be ready to enter school in the summer or fall of 2001.

What is the cost?

There is no cost.  NEW OPTIONS offers the series of seminars FREE to any adult that is thinking about beginning college.
