Jefferson
State Opens New Instructional Site in St. Clair County
This fall 2003 semester,
Jefferson State Community College will offer classes at a new St. Clair
County instructional site located in Moody.
We are delighted to be
a part of this thriving community, said Jefferson State Director of Legal
Services Keith Brown. Its exciting for
Jefferson State to offer services in an
area where positive, productive growth is occurring at such a remarkable
rate.
The new St. Clair Center
was developed because of the significant increase in the enrollment of
students at
Jefferson State from St. Clair County.
During the past year, Jefferson State experienced a thirty percent growth
in the enrollment of students living in St. Clair County.
The new center, located
at 2603
Moody Parkway, will help address this growth, add convenience for
students, and expand educational and training opportunities for residents
of St. Clair County. The St. Clair Center will occupy the third floor of
the Covenant Commerce Center, which houses New Covenant Bank and Eyecare
Associates.
Courses planned for St.
Clair Center this fall include: accounting, art, biology, computer
information systems, economics, English, history, mathematics, music,
office administration, science, psychology, sociology, and speech.
For specific information
on these classes or for help in registering, call (205) 856- 7704.
Students can begin online registration on July 21. Walk-in registration
will also be held at the St. Clair Center on August 21 from
1:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.
To attend the new St.
Clair Center, travel interstate 20 to the US Highway 411 North exit.
