Innovate Birmingham is offering tuition scholarships up to $2000/year and $4000 total for full time Computer Information Systems Technology students who plan on entering an IT career. Innovate Birmingham scholars are offered access to a network that includes 15+ community partners and 30+ employers. This scholarship was established following a January 2017 $6 million award from the U.S. Department of Labor to provide financial resources and professional development opportunities for students interested in working in the IT field after graduation.
To be considered, students must meet the following criteria:
- Ages 17-29
- CIS major
- Full-time student
- Resident of Jefferson County
