The Jefferson State Speech Team competed in the Novice Nationals Speech Tournament at the University of West Florida on March 11-12 against 25 other colleges and universities.
The team won 5th place in their division. Dallas Nolen was tournament champion in Dramatic Interpretation and placed 6th in Prose Interpretation. In addition, he and Christian Holt placed 3rd in Duo Interpretation and Holt won 5th place in Program Oral Interpretation. Roque Carmona Roman was a semi-finalist in Prose Interpretation and placed 6th in Impromptu Sales.
The Speech Team is heading out on April 8th to compete at the Phi Rho Pi National Speech Tournament in Tysons, Virginia.
