Jefferson State is proud to announce the 2021 graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alabama Theatre with two options for participation:  in-person and virtual.  The ceremony will be live-streamed, and graduates may submit a photo to be displayed in the ceremony.

  • In-Person Option:  For graduates who choose to attend in-person, CDC guidelines (such as required mask-wearing and social distancing) will be in place to keep everyone safe.  Also, due to capacity restrictions, graduates are limited to one guest.*  Information regarding the purchase of caps, gowns, and tassels is provided on the RSVP form.

*We will provide updated information to graduates in the event it becomes possible for graduates to invite an extra guest.

  • Virtual Option:  Those who choose to participate virtually will be able to view the ceremony in real-time via live-stream and will have their name called with a customized slide displayed.

All summer 2020, fall 2020, and spring 2021 graduates will should have already received an official invitation to participate.  Graduates who may not have received the invitation should contact the Graduation Office ([email protected]) for assistance.

The deadline to for graduates to submit the RSVP form and upload a photo to be used in the ceremony is Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Jefferson State has partnered with Full Measure Education (FME) to facilitate this innovative ceremony, and their logo and name will appear on the official invitation as well as some promotional items.  

Our administration, faculty, and staff are very proud of our graduates and we look forward to sharing this special day with them and their family members.  We are excited to congratulate each graduate as they complete this defining milestone!
