High School Senior Information Letter

Congratulations on your upcoming high school graduation! As you near the end of your senior year, I want to make sure you have important information regarding your dual enrollment credits at Jefferson State.

I hope you have enjoyed your time at Jefferson State and are planning to continue your college education here! If so, please follow the admission steps outlined on our website at www.jeffersonstate.edu/admissions. You will need to complete a freshman application to take classes beginning the Summer 2022 term.

If you are transferring your dual enrollment credits to another college or university, please submit your official final high school transcript following graduation. An official transcript can be:

  • sent electronically via Parchment or Scoir (official transcripts CANNOT be sent via email)
  • hand delivered in a sealed envelope from the high school, or
  • mailed to Jefferson State Office of Admissions at 2601 Carson Rd., Birmingham, AL 35125.

Allow two weeks for your final transcript to be received and processed, then request your transcript from Jefferson State by going to www.jeffersonstate.edu and scrolling to the bottom of the home page to the gray box with “Quick Links.” Select “Request a Transcript” and complete the online form. If you do not know your Student ID number, click “I do not know my student ID” and complete the form using your social security number.
