Cawaco RC&D Birmingham Workforce Retraining Initiative Grant will provide financial assistance to unemployed, low-income, and/or low-skilled adults, with a focus on women and minorities, who require specialized assistance to enroll and complete fast-track, high demand healthcare training. Funding will be used for students enrolled in in-demand healthcare training programs, including Administrative Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant and Sterile Processing Technician. Awards will be made to at-risk students to cover the cost of enrollment, books and other program related fees. A committee will review all applications. Stipends are non-renewable.
