Deadlines and Priority Dates

Fall 2021 (2021-2022 Aid Year)

May 1, 2021 (Priority Deadline)

  • The 2021-2022 FAFSA must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education by May 1, 2021 to receive priority consideration for financial assistance (SEOG, College Work-Study, and Alabama State Grant) for the Fall 2021 semester or academic year.

August 13, 2021 (Priority Deadline)

  • Appeals – Financial aid appeal forms must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by August 13, 2021. The appeal forms must be complete with all documentation attached.
  • The 2021-2022 FAFSA along with all transcripts and requested documentation must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by August 13, 2021. Students not meeting this requirement will be required to pay tuition and fees upfront. Once the student’s financial aid requirements are complete and if the student qualifies for federal aid, they will be reimbursed. No federal aid is guaranteed until the student’s file has been processed and it is determined the student is eligible to receive financial aid.

Spring 2022 (2021-2022 Aid Year)

December 30, 2021 (Priority Deadline)
