To bring together like-minded people to increase awareness about and around Hispanic/Latino cultures and provide firsthand cultural competency and education about the Hispanic/Latino community at Jefferson State and its surrounding communities.

LSA is open to all students who desire to participate.

Do I need to be Latino to join?

No. All students are welcome to join.

Do I need to be an active member?

In order to maintain your membership, members are required to attend a minimum of two events and two meetings per semester.

Are there membership dues?

Membership dues are $20 for the academic year.  Dues can be paid at any campus Cashier.

How often do we meet?

LSA meets every third Thursday of every month. During Hispanic Heritage Month LSA will host weekly events.

Is there a GPA requirement?

No GPA requirement.

Do I need to be a full-time student?

Part-time students and full-time students are welcome.

Do I need to be a current student?

Yes, you must be a current student to be a member.

Do I need to be a member to attend the events?

All events are welcome to all students.
