The 2025 golf season was a historic one for Jefferson State’s men’s and women’s teams, as the women advanced to the NJCAA National Championship for the first time and also produced their first-ever All-American, Rebecca Pearce.
The men’s team advanced to the NJCAA National Championship for the fourth time in five years and finished 12th overall out of 24 teams after four rounds at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
Asher Nissim led the way for the Pioneers, finishing 38th, and Braydon Moye was close behind at 43rd.
Austin Freeman and Mason Jones tied with others at 49th. Jones also led the field with four eagles.
Taylor Chambers and RJ White each played two of the four rounds as alternates, finishing 16th and 21st among that group.
The JSCC women, meanwhile, tied for seventh place overall at Cedar Pointe Golf Club in Boone, Iowa.
Rebecca Pearce was named third-team All-American after finishing in 15th place, becoming just the second-ever Jefferson State golfer—and first woman—to earn the honor.
Addi Campbell finished 31st, Reagan Darden was 48th, Isa Velasquez was 50th, and Sydney Rogers was 68th.
Men’s and Women’s Golf—along with Jefferson State’s other three sports—were also represented on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for student-athletes who achieve a GPA of at least 3.0.
Men’s honorees included Chambers, Freeman, Nissim, John Vinson, and White.
Women’s honorees included Campbell, Pearce, and Rodgers.
