The Jefferson State Debate Team traveled to their first in-person tournament in two years on March 11-14. The team traveled to the University of Central Arkansas and competed with 17 other colleges and universities in IPDA Debate.
After six rounds of preliminary competition, Kylie Jordan made it into elimination rounds in the novice division. Teammates Emmy Rains and Brook McMillan also had strong showings at the tournament. Research and judging help was provided by Cameron Hodge, Adrienne Lunceford, Jacob Goldberg and Emma Catanese.
The Debate Team will finish out the year by competing at the IPDA National Debate Tournament in Abilene Texas on April 7-11.
