Jefferson State is the Top Choice for Graduating Seniors in the Birmingham Metro Area

According to recent data released from the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, Jefferson State was the most popular college choice for high school students in the Birmingham metro area. The data also revealed Jefferson State was ranked as the most popular two-year institution in the state.
In 2024-2025, Jefferson State served 14,942 students, and exceeded the highest enrollment in the college’s 60-year history in the fall of 2025. The college’s enrollment has steadily increased over the last three years. We can’t for you to join the Jefferson State family!
