Where: Shelby-Hoover Campus, Judy Merritt Building
Come in your finest looks for this event at our Shelby-Hoover campus.
Tickets can be purchased at the cashier’s office on all four campuses, or in the myJSCC portal online. Cost is $15 for a single ticket, or $25 for two.
Tickets should be purchased in advance! We’ll have the list of attendees at the door.
All students and their guests are invited. Yes, that means you can bring a date who isn’t a student here! In addition to great music and food, we’ll have a photo booth, red carpet paparazzi, karaoke, and a game room. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed, Best Dancer, and maybe some surprises!

What’s the theme?
- Spring Vogue: florals, pastels, or some sharp black-and-white.
What do I wear?
- Whatever you want (within reason)! We’re not the fashion police. Show off your style!
- Ladies: a full formal gown, a cocktail dress, a pair of slacks with a nice top, or something red carpet inspired would all be fine. Put your hair up or let your hair down. It’s up to you!
- Gents: Tuxedo, suit, or anything fresh and fly. Cowboy boots and a blazer. New kicks and your fancy jeans.

Where do I buy tickets?
- You can purchase tickets at the cashier’s office on any campus.
- To purchases tickets online,
- Go to the payment portal & log in.
- Once logged in click on “Make payment”
- Select the number of tickets under “additional items”
- Complete your payment
Individual tickets are $15, or you can purchase two for $25. All tickets must be pre-purchased. We’ll have the list of attendees at the door.
How much do they cost?
- $15 for a single ticket, or $25 for two tickets
- If you’re buying more than two tickets, get them in whatever combination you need!
Who’s invited?
- Any Jeff State student and their guest/s.
- We really mean ALL: Traditional students, Adult students, GED students, Workforce students, DE students.
- If you’re taking classes with us, you’re invited. And so is your guest. But you (the student) has to buy the tickets.
Who can come as my guest?
- Whoever you’d like! But please note that guests must follow campus policies listed in the Jeff State Student Handbook.
- Long story short: no drugs, alcohol, nor fighting. We’re all coming to have a good, safe time.
You mean I don’t have to get a form signed for my guest to attend?
- Nope! This isn’t high school.
How do I win best dancer or best dressed?
- All attendees will get to vote right there at the dance!
What else will there be to do?
- We’ll have a game room with a variety of card, board, and video games.
- Karaoke in the main lobby
- Photo booth
- Delicious food
Will there be food?
Yes, we will have a variety of food options – including the perennial favorite, a chocolate fountain! There will also be finger foods appropriate for a garden party, a taco bar, and more.
