Women’s Golf qualifies for Nationals, Men’s team still in running

Jefferson State’s Women’s Golf team qualified for the National Tournament with its performance at District Championships, while the Men’s team is still seeking an at-large bid to Nationals.

The JSCC Women’s team finished in third place in its District Championship at Cider Ridge Golf Course in Oxford. The finish earns the team a berth in the National Tournament, which will be held May 10-15 at Ol’ Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa.

Rebecca Pearce was named to the District All-Tournament Team after finishing tied for sixth place overall.

The Men’s team finished fourth in Districts at Cider Ridge. The team will find out in the next couple of weeks if it will receive an at-large bid to the National Tournament, slated for May 17-22 in Plymouth, Indiana.

Taylor Chambers was named to the District All-Tournament Team after finishing fourth overall.
