Second Magic City FAME Cohort Signs with Industry Partners
Members of the second Magic City FAME cohort were drafted by industry partners during a special ceremony on Friday, May 8.
“Being selected into FAME means more than getting a job or going to college. It means building a career,” said Paul Johnson, associate dean of industrial education. “These students are developing technical skills, professional habits, and real-world work-place experience that will set them apart from day one and create opportunities for the rest of their lives.”
Friends and family members attended the ceremony at the Dr. Joseph E. Morris Technology Center.
The drafted Global Best team members of Cohort 2 included:

The Alabama Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) Program partners students with industry while they take classes at select community colleges. The goal is for students to gain valuable employment experience with manufacturing leaders while also completing their associate degree.
FAME provides global-best workforce development through strong technical training, integration of manufacturing core competencies, intensive professional practices and intentional hands-on experience to build the future of the modern manufacturing industry.
