Jefferson State’s Communications and Marketing team recently received 10 awards for marketing excellence during the 2026 Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association (ACCSPRA) awards ceremony, including five first-place Pyramid Awards.

The JSCC EMS program commercial earned the “Best of Show” award for ACCSPRA’s top overall award across all categories. Judging was conducted by an independent panel of media professionals, considering planning, originality, creativity and effectiveness.

“These awards highlight the creativity and collaboration found across all areas of the college,” said Jefferson State Director of Communications and Marketing David Bobo. “They serve as a reminder of how we work together to showcase the phenomenal opportunities at Jefferson State.”

In addition, Danielle Collar was a finalist for the Communicator of the Year award, which honors an individual who has distinguished themselves through their special leadership and ability in communication, marketing, public relations or recruiting efforts.
