Welcome to JSCC Nursing

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jefferson State’s Registered Nursing program. It is our mission to prepare students to enter the nursing work force with an entry level nursing degree. We offer the Associate in Applied Science degree and prepare students to take the national licensure examination for registered nurses (NCLEX). We have four campuses that offer full-time courses and an evening program option to fit a variety of student needs.

Before you Apply

We encourage attendance at one of the online sessions. Sessions will take place in February, April, and September. Attendees may attend any session regardless of which campus or program they plan to apply (you must register to attend a session). Registration is required and registration must include a valid email address. Attendance must be confirmed to receive one point towards admission ranking.

We are excited you are considering becoming a Registered Nurse. Nursing is a demanding yet highly rewarding profession in the healthcare field. Evening Nursing Program Option Expands to Twice-Yearly Admissions Starting Spring of 2027
Beginning Spring 2027, the Evening Nursing Program will expand to twice-yearly admissions, welcoming new cohorts in both the Fall and Spring semesters. This change will give students more opportunities to start the program, reduce waiting time, and better support for those balancing school, work, and family commitments. Information about spring application deadlines and admission requirements will be available on the Nursing Program website.
