Manufacturing Day ® is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. “Hard Hats and High Heels” is an event designed to encourage females and non-traditional college students to learn skills that can be applied to employment in the manufacturing industry and beyond. Join us for an interactive day to explore career options available in manufacturing technology. There’s a lot more to it than what you may think! Event features:
Hands-on Demonstrations of equipment used in manufacturing
Face-to-Face Meetings with manufacturers seeking skilled workers
Tour of Jefferson State’s Manufacturing Facility
Students in the 10th, 11th or 12th grades only
Lunch will be provided
Seating is limited to 50 participants
Please wear comfortable clothes (jeans permitted) and closed-toe shoes (lots of walking/standing)
