Jefferson State’s Multicultural Students Association in collaboration with the Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization will collect items for Bahamas Relief deadline extended through October 11.
Items collected will be consolidated and taken to Atlanta and delivered directly to areas of need in the Bahamas. Items can be dropped at collections boxes in Enrollment Service offices at at any Jefferson State campus.
Items Needed:
- Tarps
- Butane or Propane Canisters
- Portable Stoves
- Flashlights
- Batteries
- First Aid Kits or First Aid Supplies (Aspirin, Bandage, Band-Aids, Alcohol, etc)
- Biodegradable Bags
- Blankets
- Heavy Duty Gloves
Debris Removal Tools - Cleaning Supplies
- Air Mattresses
- Baby Formula
- Diapers
- Wet Wipes
- Toiletries (including female sanitary products)
- Mosquito repellent
- Water Filtration devices
- Matches
- Waters bottles
- Non-Perishable Food Items (Cans particularly as many people will be cooking on portable stoves or fires).
