Jefferson State Community College is excited to offer an informative and fun learning experience for high school students interested in the field of hospitality and culinary arts. Participants will learn from Chef Professors in Jefferson State’s award-winning Culinary & Hospitality Institute and enjoy hands-on learning activities and field trips around the community.
The Shelby Campus program kicks off on Tuesday, September 17th, at 4:30 p.m. in the Merritt Health Science Building, room 101. This building is located at the corner of Valleydale Road and Jaguar Drive in Hoover.
With limited enrollment, all are invited to attend the kickoff, but spaces are filled with seniors and juniors having priority. There is no prior enrollment and/or application needed to attend the kickoff events. Students who are admitted into the program, will need to pay a $40 fee, which will cover registration in the Greater Alabama Council Explorer Program and liability insurance. Please make checks out to GAC. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for the kickoff meeting.
