English and Math Course Placement Criteria


Placement into English and Math Courses

If you are registering for dual enrollment English and/or math courses, you must meet the appropriate placement criteria. Placement into these courses is based on one of the following:

  • ACT sub score
  • A combination of ACT sub score and grade in a specific high school course (used only for math placement)
  • Accuplacer score  CLICK HERE  for Testing Center
  • Courses numbered below 100 are not offered through dual enrollment

CHM 104 Introduction to Chemistry I

18 Math sub score QAS score 253 or higher
MTH 112 Precalculus Algebra ACT Math sub score of 20 or higher AND “C” or higher in high school Algebra 2 or Precalculus or Calculus OR 24-25 Math sub score QAS score 267 or higher Or

AAF 250 or higher

MTH 113 Precalculus Trigonometry

CHM 111 College Chemistry I

ACT Math sub score of 20 or higher AND “C” or higher in high school Precalculus or Calculus OR 26 Math sub score AAF 263 or higher
MTH 125 Calculus 1 ACT Math sub score of 20 or higher AND “C” or higher in high school Precalculus or Calculus OR 27 Math sub score AAF 276 or higher
