Jefferson State’s Center for Workforce Education offers a CDL program and CDL Corporate Simulator Training program. This training provides the skills for immediate employment in an in-demand career field.

CDL Requirements and Essential Job Functions Include:
The CDL program at Jefferson State will take place at our Chilton-Clanton campus. 7am-4pm each day Mon – Fri.

CDL REQUIREMENTS

- Must be 18 years or older with a current Alabama Driver’s License at least a year
- High School Diploma or GED
- Social Security Card
- Read and speak English
- DOT Physical long form with DOT Drug Screening (within last 30 days)
- DOT Medical Card (within last 30 days)
- CDL Class A Permit Prior to Class
- MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) (within last 30 days)
