Jefferson State’s ADA Accommodations Office hosts Disability Awareness Week each year to advance our community’s understanding of disabilities. This year, the Pi Pi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is working with the office to promote Disability Awareness Week and hosting some activities.

- Monday, Oct. 24 – ADA Trivia sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa
- Tuesday, Oct. 25 – Puppy Therapy with Hand-in-Paw sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa Pi Pi Chapter, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jefferson Campus (between Allen Library and Bethune Deramus Hall)
- Wednesday, Oct. 26 – Depression and Suicide Prevention Presentation via Zoom sponsored by the ADA Accommodations Office, 2-3 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 27 – Phi Theta Kappa Pi Pi Chapter will be displaying posters on campus to increase mental health awareness and resources
- Thursday, Oct. 27 – American Horror Story: Mental Illness sponsored by the ADA Accommodations Office, 10-10:45 a.m. (Pioneer Con Presentation), Shelby-Hoover Campus
- Friday, Oct. 28 – How Faculty/Staff Contribute to Retention, Progression, and Graduation by Supporting Student with Disabilities Presentation sponsored by the ADA Accommodations Office, 10:00 a.m.
