The team has had a successful year so far, with team members making into the final rounds of all three tournaments in which they have competed.
As they head into the final two tournaments of the season, they are looking to recruit for next year. Scholarships are available starting in summer 2025 for students interesting in improving their communication and argumentation skills.
The scholarship pays full tuition and fees for 15 hours per semester, for a maximum for six semesters. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must keep at least a 2.5 GPA, have at least one year left at Jefferson State and be able to attend meetings, practices and tournaments. Students from all walks of life and all campuses are welcome to audition.
Auditions will take place in April and will consist of presenting a five-minute researched speech on any topic.
