Refund Policy/Deadlines

Refunds are based on the first official day for the term and are not based on the first class day for individual courses.

Refund for Partial Withdrawal

During schedule adjustment when dropping and adding of individual courses are allowed, students may drop a course and receive a full refund for that course and its related fees only. There will be no refund to a student who partially withdraws after schedule adjustment has ended.

After the Schedule Adjustment Period Ends

Students may receive a prorated refund only if they COMPLETELY withdraw from ALL classes in which they are enrolled.

Students completely withdrawing from the College must submit a complete withdrawal form to Enrollment Services or one of the off-campus sites; you cannot do a complete withdrawal on the web after the term has begun. For any questions you may call the cashier’s office at (205) 856-7779.

Administrative Fee

An administrative fee not to exceed 5% shall be accessed for complete withdrawal.

Note: Tuition and Fees are subject to change by the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Community College System.

Summer 2026

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from May Mini Term:

  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but at or before 12pm May 12, 2026

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Regular Summer Term:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before May 27, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before June 1, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before June 6, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before June 11, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Regular Summer Term with a prorated refund – June 11, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Regular Summer Term Ends June 3, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Five-week Session 1 Summer Term:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before May 27, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before May 30, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before June 2, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before June 5, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Regular Five-week Session 2 Summer Term with a prorated refund – June 5, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Regular Five-week Session 1 Summer Term Ends May 29, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Five-week Session 2 Summer Term:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before July 5, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before July 8, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before July 11, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before July 14, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Five-week Session 2 Summer Term with a prorated refund – July 14, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Regular Five-week Session 2 Summer Term Ends July 7, 2026.

Fall 2026

The prorated refund will not apply to Pioneer Pack fee. The last day to opt-out of Pioneer Pack for the Fall will be August 31, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Regular Fall Term:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 23, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 30, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before September 6, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before September 13, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Regular Fall Term with a prorated refund – September 13, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Regular Fall Term Ends August 28, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Fall Five-Week Session I:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 23, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 26, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 29, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before September 1, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Fall Five-Week Session I with a prorated refund – September 1, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Fall Five-Week Session I Ends August 25, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Fall Eight-Week Session I:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 23, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 27, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before August 31, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before September 4, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Fall Eight-Week Session I with a prorated refund – September 4, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Fall Eight-Week Session I Ends August 25, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Fall Five-Week Session II:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before September 29, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 2, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 5, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 8, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Fall Five-Week Session II with a prorated refund – October 8, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Fall Five-Week Session II Ends October 1, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Fall Eight-Week Session II:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 15, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 19, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 23, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before October 27, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Fall Eight-Week Session II with a prorated refund – October 27, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Fall Eight-Week Session II Ends October 19, 2026.

Prorated Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal from Fall Five-Week Session III:

  • 100% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before November 3, 2026
  • 75% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before November 6, 2026
  • 50% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before November 9, 2026
  • 25% of adjusted tuition & fees – Complete withdrawal from all courses following registration but on or before November12, 2026
  • Last day to completely withdraw from all courses during the Fall Five-Week Session II with a prorated refund – November 12, 2026

Schedule Adjustment for Fall Five-Week Session III Ends November 5, 2026.

Students who are active members of the Alabama National Guard or reservists who are active-duty military and are called to active duty in the time of national crisis shall receive a full tuition refund at the time of withdrawal, if such students are unable to complete the term due to active-duty orders or assignment to another.
