Participants have 20 days to “Hike the Hill,” allowing them to participate at their own pace while respecting social distancing guidelines.

Start your hike at Little Shades Creek Bridge on Morgan Road and continue the climb to the crest past Vestavia Hills High School, ending at the corner of Lime Rock Road and Panorama Drive.

The round-trip hike covers approximately 1.5 miles and ascends over 250 feet.

No times are required to track or report, and the course is always open.

The entry fee is $35 for an individual, including T-shirt and swag bag of items, including social distancing mask. A $70 family entry is also available and covers all immediate family members, with two T-shirts and swag bag.

Registration can be completed online at VestaviaRotary.org.

Additional T-shirts can be purchased for $8 on the sign-up page.

Participants will select their school PTO Team during registration, and a portion of the entry fee will help fund the PTO mission of building stronger relationship with teachers, faculty and staff to support student education that includes providing financial support in the form of grants to support student education.

40 percent of the registration funds will go to the school PTOs selected by participants, 40 percent will go to the Vestavia Hills Rotary Club’s 501(c)3 Foundation, and the remaining 20 percent will cover expenses, such as website, T-shirts, signs and promotions.

The Foundation benefits numerous community programs, including Jefferson State scholarships supporting Birmingham’s hospitality industry.
