Culinary Arts Program Receives ACFEF Accreditation 2014

Congratulations! The Culinary and Hospitality Institute’s AAS Degree in Hospitality Management: Culinary Arts, AAS Degree in Baking and Pastry and AAS Degree in Culinary Arts with an Apprenticeship Option programs have been identified as “Exemplary: by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).

To qualify as an Exemplary Program, upon renewal application of ACFEF Accreditation, a program must been in full compliance with ACFEF Standards during the last visiting renewal team report. The evaluation team found the program had substantially met the entire and required nine (9) Standards areas: Eligibility, Program Mission and Goals, Organization and Administration, Faculty and Staff, Curriculum, Facilities, Student Services, Assessment, and Environmental Sustainability. The JSCC-CHI program was found to be in full compliance and having earned the distinction as a “Exemplary” Culinary program.
