The Jefferson State Debate Team finished the 2021-2022 season by winning second place in Community College Sweepstakes at IPDA Nationals in Abilene, Texas. They were then honored to win the President’s Cup at Jefferson State’s annual Honors Convocation on April 14. The team is ready to start the new competition season and is looking for new members to help continue a winning tradition. Full tuition/fee scholarships are available for qualified students, starting in either Summer or Fall terms.
Team members need to have a minimum 2.5 GPA, at least a year left of coursework at Jefferson State and must be able to attend meetings, practices and tournaments. No debate experience is required, but a desire to succeed, a love of research and a willingness to work hard are essential.
