Jefferson State recently held a “Building Barrier Breakers” event at the Jefferson Campus with the University of Montevallo, the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA), and Jacksonville State University. The event provided information about attending college and the opportunities available to parents and students in Hispanic communities.
The event featured breakout sessions for parents and students; a wealth of information on programs with JSCC, HICA, the University of Montevallo, and Jacksonville State; and time to browse many information tables for various programs.
