JSCC CHD Page Pals Partnership (1)Jefferson State’s Child Development Department NEEDS YOU!

Reading to children is proven to help them improve their reading ability. To help with the new Alabama Literacy Act under Governor Kay Ivey, the JSCC Child Development Department has partnered with the City of Birmingham Division of Youth Services to recruit volunteers to read to their third-grade students across all Birmingham City Schools.

If you are a Child Development major, you will receive extra bonus points in your CHD courses with proof of your sign-up and picture of your reading at any Birmingham City School.

All majors and student organizations are welcome! All JSCC employees are welcome to participate!
