Jefferson State’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society chapters earned honors during the national convention in San Antonio, Texas on April 15-19, 2015.
Both the Pi Pi Chapter and the Beta Lambda Delta Chapter were awarded as “Distinguished Chapters” which places them both in the top three percent internationally.
“Only 44 chapters out of nearly 1,300 chapters internationally received ‘Distinguished Chapter’ honors,” said Jefferson State Phi Theta Kappa Advisor Dr. Liesl Harris. “For both of Jefferson State’s chapters to receive this honor is remarkable.”
Also during the convention, Dr. Harris received the Continuing Excellence Advisor Award.
