Internet Courses

Internet courses have no on-campus requirements. Faculty interact with students through assignments, discussion posts, email, office hours and other electronic/virtual means. Internet courses are not self-paced and do have assignments with specific due dates. Students enrolled in an Internet course must be able to present a valid photo ID upon request to verify their identity and should expect to do so to complete some course requirements.

Students enrolling in Internet courses should be self-starting, requiring little or no supervision to complete assigned tasks on schedule, and should have regular access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection. Students should also be comfortable browsing the web, using a word processor (formatting, copying, pasting, editing) and using email (sending and receiving, adding and downloading attachments). Most courses have specific software requirements (current version of MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Reader, etc.).

Students with course-specific questions are encouraged to contact the course instructor before classes officially begin. Instructor names will be posted in the online schedule and instructor contact information is available through the Employee Directory.  Please contact the department that handles the course for more information if no instructor is assigned (TBA).
