The Jefferson State Speech Team earned numerous honors during the Novice Nationals Forensics Tournament at Butler University in Indianapolis,
Indiana on March 13-16.
Team members Victoria Cruz, Casey Barnes, Zee Charania, Greg Rogers, Ford Brown, Maggie Rapier, Cassie Waldrop and Katy Johnson competed against 29 community colleges and universities from 15 states. The team took home 1st Place in Reader’s Theatre along with 5th Place Team Sweepstakes in their division. In addition, Maggie Rapier won 3rd Place in Program Oral Interpretation, Cassie Waldrop won 5th Place in Program Oral Interpretation and Victoria Cruz was a semi-finalist in Impromptu Sales.
