The Jefferson State Speech Team competed with nine colleges and universities in the University of Florida Speech Tournament on January 17 and earned numerous awards.
Jacob Humphries won Top Novice in Dramatic Interpretation. Rich Quarles brought home 8th place in Prose Interpretation and 5th place in Dramatic Interpretation. Hannah King and Jacob Good won 4th place in Duo Interpretation and Jacob Good took 4th in Poetry Interpretation.
The Speech Team will head out to Louisiana in February to compete at the Bossier Parish Community College Speech and Debate Tournament.
