To honor veterans and their service, 
Jefferson State held an appreciation event on November 9 at the Shelby-Hoover Campus.
The event served to help bring awareness to our veterans’ mental health issues.
Guest speakers included Melissa Evans of VA Suicide Prevention, Ron Bradstreet from the Alabama American Legion, and Anita Turner of the Army Wounded Warrior Program.
The event was sponsored by Jefferson State’s Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs Department, the Jefferson State Speech Team, and the Sigma Chi Eta Honor Society.
