Jefferson State is the first Child Development program in Alabama. For over 45 years, Jefferson State has been offering the study of young children Birth to Age Five, the most formative time in a human’s life confirmed by years of research. Jefferson State is the first Early Childhood Associate Degree Accredited program in the state. JSCC CDP has also lead in offering unique programs of study for concentrations in Educarer, Administrator, and Aftershool. JSCC CDP continued to be on the cutting edge with a variety of learning opportunities such as: evening, early morning, hybrid (half online and half in class), on-site, and full online courses. We continue to seek ways to best meet the needs of students.
With the implementation of the Alabama’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), education in the earliest childhood field of study helps improve programs’ star ratings. So consider Jefferson State as your educational option for learning and growing in this all important field of study.
